This is a solid machine that has a few flaws. The main one is they don't tell you that the "doesn't need plug in power" while true, also leaves you with no memory or display 15 seconds after you stop pedaling the eliptical. Oh, the service department tells you first that there are no batteries in it, then acknowledges that it does have NimH rechargable batteries buried deep in the electronics, that will hold a longer charge... IF you first exercises 60 minutes per day for 5 days in a row. Otherwise they never charge enough to do any good.
Pause for 15 seconds and you lose your exercise time and settings for that session immediately and have to reset it (and remember how much time you've already spent and add it to the timer mentally).

The machine is smooth and quiet and compact. If you have any "foot pronation prblems" which result in a pushing out of your gait - it tends to want to rub the pedal bars on the side of the chasis - not good. The resistance 1-16 tends not to be stiff enough on the top end. I'm in moderate not excellent shape and I'm almost maxing out the resistance scale at 15. Doesn't leave me much resistance left to exercise up to.
